Terong Market is the name of a traditional market in the city of Makassar and is located on Terong street, Wajo Baru village, Bontoala Subdistrict. This market is famous as a supplier of nine basic needs, such as vegetables, various types of fish, eggs, fruits, etc. that come from various regions in South Sulawesi.

This market also supplies at least in other regions to 18 provinces, especially Sulawesi and Eastern Indonesia and parts of the West in particular. To mention some of the areas including Kendari, Palu, Gorontalo, Manado, Maluku, Kalimantan, especially the East, remote parts of Papua from Sorong to Merauke, parts of Bali, NTT and NTB and even some parts in East Java, West Java, Banten to DKI Jakarta. Even the Terong traditional market is also able to supply the youngest country, namely Timor Leste.
